One Mistake After Another

Melissa made some beautiful cards on the Papertrey Ink
 MIM video.

If only I had a video of me making this card. Oh my gosh ...... each time I would add the embossing powder to my die cut it would fall and get messed up , then when I would go to heat it up..same thing. ( I do know how to prevent this from happening)  I was going to give up but decided an imperfect card was what I was making today.  Not that I think my other cards are perfect, just sharing all the mistakes today. :) I might remake it!

  2. Had to laugh at reading this post Marybeth, as I can't tell you how many times I mess up with embossing! I am constantly dropping or smudging things (or stamping/gluing them upside down....grrrrrr!), so you definitely are NOT alone!! Guess we just have to laugh about it and move on! But anyway, I love your sweet and CAS card...perfection (to me) as always!! :0)

  17. So strange how sometimes that just happens. I'm glad you posted this. To me it looks like you used a Distress embossing powder (intentionally, of course), and it's a great look with the pencil on kraft!

  20. Really, you might remake this lovely card, Marybeth?? Goodness, it's so pretty ... the soft, subtle colours on that delicious Doodlie Do bouquet are gorgeous! It sounds as though it was one of those frustrating card making moments ... though it was so worth keeping at it to create this beauty! Bon weekend! Hugs, Anita :)

  23. WOWZER, Marybeth, I only wish my mistakes were half as good as yours. This is beautiful and wouldn't think to use Kraft flowers on white, but your coloring pops them off the card. I love this. Now I need line image stamps and think Doodle-Do is perfect for this technique.
